The Level 1 Award in Wines course includes 6 guided learning hours, of which 45 minutes is for the examination.

Know the key principles and practices involved in the storage and service of wine.

This two-day course will take place at Frenchy’s Sip and Shop in South End Charlotte from 9a-12p, with the exam taking place at the end of day two.

Chris Sarette, the owner of Frenchy's, previously took the WSET Level 2 with Wine Smarties in San Diego. Since then, Chris and Lindsay have teamed up to make Frenchy's a WSET satellite school in North Carolina! Frenchy’s has also partnered with Wil Witters, the Midwest NC Wine Specialist for Tryon Distributing, to begin offering WSET courses in Charlotte. The courses will be taught by both Chris and Wil, who share a love for the classics and were each other's study partners recently for WSET Level 3.
