International Orval Day
We’re celebrating one of the most legendary beers in the world: Orval. Brewed by the monks of Orval Abbey in Belgium, Orval is the only beer they make — and it’s unlike anything else in the Trappist canon. Dry, bitter, lightly funky, and built to evolve in the bottle thanks to Brettanomyces, it shifts from bright citrus and herbal hop character when fresh to earthy, complex, and deeply savory with age.
Orval is famously limited and allocated, and it doesn’t sit around in the U.S. for long. If you’ve ever wanted to taste a true monastic classic side-by-side fresh and cellar it yourself, this is your moment.
Come drink one of the great beers of the world with us.
wine & Cheese Pairing
And we’re back! For Pairing #19, we’re in familiar territory but in new and different profiles you probably haven’t had from the island country of New Zealand.
When most people think of New Zealand wine, they think of one thing: Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc. And yes — we’ll talk about it. But that’s just the headline, not the whole story.
Expect high-acid whites, mineral tension, cool-climate reds, and wines shaped by ocean influence, dramatic sunlight, and some of the most pristine growing conditions in the world.
Each wine will be thoughtfully paired with cheese, as always, by Rachel at Orrman’s to show how acidity, texture, and structure can either contrast or amplify flavor.

Lost Boy Date Night
Over a decade in...it's fun that wine can still surprise us every single week. Lost Boy is one of those winemakers that made an impact immediately when we were introduced just a few months ago. Owner Trevor DeRuisé is a retired American professional mountain bike racer who became a winemaker in South Africa, creating a boutique brand focusing on cool-climate, small-batch wines from the Cape Agulhas region. His expressive wines embody a simpler, nature-connected lifestyle, and we can't wait to share them with you.
Bring a partner, bring a crush, bring your bestie—or just come solo and let the wine be your date. Either way, it’s going to be a night full of South African charm.

RIESLING MASTER CLASS WITH GEORGE RUMPF
Often maligned, seldom understood…but there’s a reason why most sommeliers call it their favorite grape. Riesling is an absolute chameleon, capable of showing up in wildly different profiles based on terroir and winemaking styles. Come taste this grape in a guided tasting hosted by one if Riesling’s most fierce advocates - George Rumpf of Weingut Kruger-Rumpf out of Nahe, Germany. George is responsible for many of our favorite German wines here at the shop, and it was our absolute pleasure to visit him and his family earlier this year. George will be pouring four of his own vastly different Rieslings during this hour — do not miss this opportunity to learn and enjoy some world-class wines.
THIS EVENT IS SOLD OUT.
Live Music @ Frenchy's
First timers to Frenchy’s but veteran musicians Maxwell Butterfield and Emmanuel Howard join us on Thanksgiving weekend for a bout of jazz here at the shop. We can’t wait for the immaculate vibes they bring with them — show up early to grab a seat.
